JK Rowling with her ”Harry Potter” novels, is famous and successful but with only one book. However, there are other kinds of authors who remain best sellers even​ after a decade.

1. Dan Brown
Dan Brown is one of the most widely read authors in the world. Before his success in the world of writing, he was an unsuccessful singer and composer and also an English teacher. He is now the best-selling author who writes short stories with simple characters and dialogues that click instantly. The strong plots in his stories have made him really popular among the youth. Brown's first three novels received a positive response but with fewer than 10,000 copies in each of their first printings. His fourth novel, The Da Vinci Code, became a bestseller, going to the top of the New York Times Best Seller list during its first week of release in 2003. He is currently the most successful author in the world.
2. Agatha Christie
Agatha Christie is referred as the queen of mystery. According to some sources, her works sold to date approximately four billion times, making her one of the most successful authors of literary history. Released in 1934, “Murder on the Orient Express” is Agatha's most successful novel. She is best known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, most of her stories were based on mystery featuring her fictional characters. She was one of the most successful authors of all time. She is also listed as the best-selling novelist of all time by Guinness World Records.
3. Paulo Coelho
The 65-year-old Brazilian is a novelist and the recipient of numerous international awards. He writes straight from his heart which connects to the readers instantly. “All the ways of the world Sweat is wicked away to the heart of the warrior,” says in “Manual of the Warrior of Light”. His books have always been successful globally, 'The Alchemist' is the most successful book penned by Paul. It is the most translated book in the world and was also qualified for the Guinness Book of World Records.
4. Ken Follett
Ken Follet was a philosophy student and worked as a journalist in a publishing house in the 70's. He then wrote a spy thriller based on the Second World War called 'The Eye of the Needle'. His book opened to major success and he emerged as the leading author. Recently Follett released “Fall of Giants” also about the war.
